I know this is technically a "LEGO car" where the panels can be removed and put in any kind of configuration but ever since I added the RTT, it has felt like the thing was trying to rattle itself apart. Luckily, JCR came up with a solution and it has made it 99% quieter inside! I still have a weird click from the front panel section which is unrelated to this, but that'll be the next one I tack...

$475 Ford Bronco Roof Rack - Holds 800 LBS!
Переглядів 14 тис.Рік тому
Is the cheapest roof rack ($475 with discount code "DOTY5") on the market for 2021 4DR Ford Broncos any good? So far I say YES! The installation was extremely simple with a few Allen keys (3mm, 4mm, and 5mm) and the 10mm wrench to attach to the front windshield. Roof panels ARE still able to come off, too! The website says it can hold up to 800 lbs (I'm assuming that's the static load rating). ...

    I wouldn’t race on anything over 90 degree weather but if you upgrade your Radiator fans that should help. Proform makes some good ones that can flow about 4200 CFM from dual 12” fans. Also Reach out to Brian from Pokemaster BS for the shroud he makes the best ones.

    Castrol srf, endless RBF 650 or brembo HTC for fluid. You can bleed your system just once per season with those fluids. Upgrade your pads and if there’s ducting you can add easily do it. Don’t go overboard with the pads and get something super strong as that I believe creates more heat and kills rotors faster. Your next limitation will be tires. Nittos I don’t believe are suited for road course work. Don’t touch the aero. You are far away from being an advanced enough driver to need that. Focus on getting the brake system up to par. It will be a little tricky since a car at your cars weight and your cars power really needs 13/14 GT500 front brakes but I think a pad upgrade should suffice for now until you become a more advanced driver.

    I had an larger radiator so cooling system was working fine. I was having a bigger problem with engine oil getting too hot. I had a track pack so I had the extra oil cooler but it wasn't enough. Also seems like every time I go to Thunderhill it has to be 100 degrees. I also had fluid leaking inside my rear wheels. Mine was diff fluid and not brake fluid.

    Yo, the fluid you said leaked in the rear was probably not brake fluid. Your rear axle seals may have failed and rear diff fluid leaked onto the wheels. My car did that at the track as well. Replace the seals and your good to go

    • @BritAcrossThePond
      @BritAcrossThePond День тому

      @@JacobRDotythe tires are too grippy. Sure you will be going faster and it will feel great but it will hide bad driving habits. Driving on track is all about being smooth. If you learn how to drive the car on a ‘worse’ tire you will be a lot better driver when you move on to sticky tires. No one wants to hear this though. You 100% need better brake fluid. Something like Motul 660. Don’t use castrol srf as it eats the seals on the slave cylinder which can cause a leak. Brake ducts are also a must if you plan to do more then a few laps. I can recommend Gloc brake pads. Something like an R12 up front and a R10 on the rear. Be careful running the traction control on track as it can overheat the rear brakes and the rear axle seals will leak. I would defo get aftermarket guages. You will want to know your oil and water temps. My mustangs oil hit 280f within 3 laps so I had to put a large oil cooler on

    If your serious about tracking then a big brake kit on all 4 wheels is worth it and definitely get brake air ducts.. i have them on mine and they make a serious improvement in brake cooling. For better downforce a gt500 wing, and lower the car. Rear seat delete+brace bar and suspension sub frame connectors..this will make handling a night and day difference.

    • @BritAcrossThePond

    will not understand daily driving an offroad, lifted and thicker-tire swapped suv like this. especially in the state of california. gas bills are going to be crazy and considering how narrow the streets are, you will be frequently stepping on lines which could lead to car collision or hitting peds/cyclists. i would love to have one of these, but only strictly for weekend drive to parks or somewhere far during extended vacation.

    Chassis weight reduction is less efficient than unsprung weight reduction. Every 1lb of unsprung weight dropped is equivalent to 4-5lbs of chassis weight. Just dropping 10lbs each corner of wheel weight can be the equivalent of dropping 115-130lbs total of chassis weight. And that will free up HP not being sucked to just turn the wheels, but it will make the handling more responsive so its one of the most efficient ways to go faster in general. Some of the easiest ways to further reduce sprung or chassis weight is exhaust. Just removing resonators, moving to a lighter weight tubing and mufflers, and if desired removing cats, can save several dozen lbs. And while it doesnt effect overall curb weight as much, lightening rotational mass across the motor with lightweight flywheels, underdrive pulleys, and lightweight 1pc driveshafts will reduce mechanichal loss of power between the crank and wheels, significantly improving power/weight ratios. From that point, unless your building a dedicated track car, the gains youll see from stripping weight from interior panels and accessories starts getting into significant diminishing returns as you lose a lot of comfort. Rear seat delete and lighter weight racing seats in front would be about as far as a street car would need. As far as power the best mods are intake, throttle body, manifold (preferably ported), previously mentioned pulleys, cams, long tube headers, free flowing exhaust, and a tune. Certainly FI is a huge bump in power but the main thing people are finally coming around to again is whether its worth chasing a high WHP number if you cant realistically use that power. The Demon Redeye has that problem. Keiichi Tsuchiya took one out onto a track and the drift king himself couldnt use the car fully because it simply made more power than it needs. With the S197 and S550, the best option really is to maximize stock potential through bolt ons and tuning, making good choices in reducing HP loss between the crank and wheels, and then going hard on suspension. You will have a much faster car with 450-500whp that has a well thought out and executed suspension build than a 700whp car with bare minimum upgrades to suspension. Remember, the S197 and later Mustangs are TRUE sports cars, not just muscle cars. Live rear or IRS, they are designed to be DRIVERS cars not just drag cars like muscle cars in the past (SN95 was a 30yr old chassis). So when modifying them its smart to look at the ways that people make vehicles like Nissans, Hondas, and Toyotas go fast, which often times is finding the balance between power and handling cuz those imports proved on tracks time and again that even with lower HP numbers, if you can deliver that power efficiently and carry that speed through a corner, youre gonna be faster than someone with twice the power and less stability. Now if youre building a drag car, absolutely drop all the weight, make all the HP, and focus on getting out of the trap asap. But if youre driving your car on the street, balance will end up in more smiles per gallon than a dyno graph. Power doesnt always mean speed and speed is what gives the fizz.
